Tennessee Titans 2019 Draft Day Trades: A perfectly safe, unsexy approach to making a trade

The Tennessee Titans made just one yawn inducing draft day trade, earning a boring “C” grade from your benevolent dictator. All teams start with an average ā€œCā€ grade and then need to impress me in order to move up. The Titans made a trade but it wasn’t impressive.

Tennessee moved up five spots in the fourth round from No. 121 to No. 116 to draft Amani Hooker. In return they moved down 11 spots in the fifth round from No. 157 to No. 168. Pardon me while I take a nap on the beach in my hammock…I can almost hear the draft nerds breaking out their slide rules, adjusting their prescription glasses, then exchanging a stiff, efficient handshake to seal this deal. Good for the Titan in getting their guy in Amani Hooker, but they didn’t get any draft capital back in return. That’s fine. It’s just not TDI-worthy.

Overall the Titans net trade rating is a +6 based on the Dallas Draft Value Chart, meaning they did slightly better than breaking even in this exchange. No more analysis is warranted. There are real trades happening that deserve your dictator’s genius perspective.
