Arizona Cardinals 2019 Draft Day Trades: Keeping Kyler Murray at No. 1 instead of trading down for more assets

The Arizona Cardinals decided to sit this one out and not engage in any draft day trades where picks were swapped. This is about as boring as it gets, folks. That said, they did have the No. 1 overall pick and landed quarterback Kyler Murray. As I state in Article 3 of TDI’s Glorious Constitution, “If you are drafting a stud, DON”T trade down.” The Cardinals obviously view Murray a franchise quarterback so they were right to stay put and land their guy.

But even with that said…as the benevolent dictator of Trade Down Island I always salivate when I think of the asset haul that I could potentially generate by trading down from the No. 1 overall pick. Oooooooohhhhhh boy…..
